I broke down and ran out of the room. It was unexpected- I could never have predicted this.
I can't even begin to describe how I feel right now. In February 2009 my mum was called to the cancer centre, but we were unaware of what actually awaited us. We thought that maybe she was going for some tests but when we sat in that room we hadn’t even been there ten minutes before the doctor turned round and told us that she had a rare form of asbestos related lung cancer that was affecting her pelvis and bowels. I broke down and ran out of the room. It was unexpected- I could never have predicted this.
