I was sitting out in the garden, thinking and i had this feeling that i thought dad might have cancer, but it still came as a shock when he actually told me he had it.
It was last year, November time i think, when dad had shown me this lump on his inner thigh, i told him to go to the doctors and get it checked out, which eventually he took notice and did as i said.
A week later i was sitting out in the garden, thinking and i had this feeling that i thought dad might have cancer, but it still came as a shock when he actually told me he had it. Since November he has been through 2 different types of chemotheropy, which havent worked and his lumps multiplied and became bigger and eventually spread, he has just finished his radiotherapy treatment for his thigh, but has had other lumps appear since then, in his neck, throat and behind his ear, he has been extrememly weak from the radiotheropy and has lost a lot of weight, hes also began to get very bad headaches, the doctors and the hospice have said that he only has a few months to live.
Ive had to look after him and my little brother, which is hard, i have become very ill myself, through stress and depression and am currently not eating properly, i know dad will be going through more radiotheropy, but sometimes i wonder what is the point, the treatment is prolonging his death and making him very ill, i would rather him die sooner then later because i cant bare to see him suffer this much and im saying this as his loving daughter.
We aren't quite sure what is happening at the moment, dad will be having more meetings with his doctor and we will take it from there.
