http://www.cancer.gov The National Cancer Institute website has information on cancer types, treatments, statistics and research. It has a section on coping within the family, and when someone in your family has cancer. USA

http://www.mariecurie.org.uk The Marie Curie Cancer Care website has information on the charity and cancer research. It has a section for people who care for cancer patients at home, but this section is perhaps aimed more at adult and not young carers. UK

This West Midlands site has information on cancer services in the west midlands and support groups UK wide. It also has links to other cancer websites. UK
http://www.icr.ac.uk/everyman/about/malecancer.html The Everyman campaign is an initiative to raise awareness of male cancer issues and to banish the taboos surrounding men and cancer. Everyman has fact sheets about male cancers such as prostate and testicular cancer in an attempt to raise awareness in men about these diseases. UK
http://www.cancer.org The American Cancer Society has information on cancer, types and treatment. It has information about people who have survived cancer and information about cancer prevention. USA

http://www.cancercare.org/ Cancercare is a website containing advice and information about cancer. It has sections for patients, professionals and families. USA
http://www.piesforcancer.info PIES - Personalised Information, Education and Support for cancer patients and carers - offers user friendly and quick access to a wealth of quality assured information, which is relevant to individual needs in living with cancer at any stage of illness. PIES is developed by the same organisation who developed the riprap website.

http://www.lrf.org.uk Leukaemia Research Fund (LRF) is a national UK charity devoted exclusively to improving treatments, finding cures and investigating the causes and prevention of cancers of the blood and related conditions, in children and adults. Their website includes a wide range of information for patients and professionals, some produced by the Leukaemia Research Fund as well as information gathered from other resources. UK
http://www.lymphoma.org.uk/ The Lymphoma Forum and Lymphoma Assocation website has three sections with information and content specific to cancer professionals, lymphoma patients, relatives and friends or young adults. UK
http://www.gillettecancerconnect.org The Gillette Women’s Cancer Connection website is a supportive site for women. It is a place where women share their experiences and can gain advice. There is a section for teens & kids, and partners of cancer patients that has articles around how to talk to your mum and a fear of losing her. USA
http://www.goingfora.com VIRTUAL TOUR: The Royal College of Radiologists is offering this website to address some of the fears that are associated with a visit to the hospital. The site aims to demystify the experience by taking visitors through a virtual tour of a typical cancer unit. There are simple drawings and information about equipment used for investigations and treatments, accounts of patients' experiences and explanation about the role and work of staff involved. The site also contains frequently asked questions and links to other sources of information.

http://www.cancerbackup.org.uk/Home Cancerbackup has now merged with Macmillan. Together they provide loads of information on cancer, prevention, treatment and coping. It has cancer information and a question and answer section. It’s book series includes publications on how to talk to someone about cancer. UK
